Questions about Boat NET COMPACT
How far away will I be connected to the Internet?
Boat Net Compact uses the 4G networks of any operator. It has two SIM slots (you can use two SIM cards from two different operators, and choose the one that offers the best performance at any given time). The distance depends on the number of antennas on the nearest coast, but it is common to connect to the internet more than 20 miles from the coast.
Which SIM card do you recommend?
You can use a SIM card from any operator that has good coverage in your usual browsing area and change it very easily if you need to.
Where is it mounted?
It can be mounted in the cabin, on the stern balcony, on the first crossbeam, on the solar panel bracket, etc.
Is the installation easy?
Its 1 ¼’ female thread makes it compatible with nautical antenna mounts, so it will be very easy to find the right mounting adapter. From the antenna there is only one UTP network cable through which you ‘insert’ the power supply to the equipment.
My boat runs on 24 V, will I have problems?
None, its operating range is between 9 Vdc and 50 Vdc.
Great, you send it fully configured, but what if I want to change something on the equipment?
From our Remote Support service we can reconfigure any parameter of the equipment in an expeditious manner.
